I’m just still sort of counting my blessings that my wife chose to be my partner for life.
This was some of the best good fortune that I’ve experienced in my lifetime.
We actually met inside her dorm room one very cold winter night nearly two decades ago. She was struggling with the radiant heating in her room and her roommate happened to flag me down and asked if I could help. That’s just how totally random that all was. Had she not had a hard time turning the knob to adjust the radiant heating, we might not have ever met. Fast forward and I’m once again coming to her aid when it comes to heating and cooling. Funny how things come full circle. My wife has always been sensitive to even the slightest changes in temperature. She is the layered clothing queen. I never saw her much without at least three layers on. And there were space heaters strategically placed throughout the house as well. Then one day, while I was enjoying the zone controlled HVAC of the office, it dawned on me that maybe I could do that at home. Sure enough, the HVAC professionals were able to modify our existing HVAC equipment to provide zone controlled HVAC in our house. We know have a central smart thermostat and five other independent thermostats throughout the house. My wife was skeptical a bit at first. But soon, she was tuning in those thermostats like she was mixing an album. With zone controlled HVAC, my wife isn’t wearing layers all the time in the house anymore and she’s just so much more comfortable. And that makes me smile big.
