I recently visited my aunt who lives in the eastern side of the country where summer temperatures could rise to past 100 degrees. Despite the high temperatures, it is a lovely city with beautiful architecture and amazing food. It is also adorned with beautiful landscapes and waterfalls. As we drove into the city, I noticed many local businesses that seemed to be dealing in heating and cooling equipment from every brand available. The high temperatures were the explanation behind the many similar stores. My aunt was also in the cooling and heating business as an air conditioning expert. She had fitted her house with quality heating and air cooling units that anyone would envy. Though the HVAC installation was done ten years earlier, the air conditioning system operated like a brand new commercial air conditioning system. When I got to the house, I showered and immediately fell asleep, majorly because I was suffering from insomnia. I was woken up by the chilly air in my room. The place was cold and I even had goosebumps all over my body. We tried adjusting the temperature using the digital thermostat, but nothing helped. We even tried changing the batteries but nothing worked. We contacted the HVAC serviceman to do the heating and cooling service then handle any air conditioning repair. As the unit was being fixed, I substituted for the electric heat pump to help with indoor comfort. The regulator was fixed within a day and everything at the house was back to being perfect to me. For the rest of that vacation, we spent it touring and exploring the city. We took it all in and when we got back to the house, we were always welcome with cool conditions.
