Life can take you in some pretty strange instruction at times. Every one of us were going to see my mother-in-law one weekend, when she took myself and others to her study room. She told myself and others she had something to give to me. She had a box full of picture of my spouse when she was growing up, and she asked myself and others if I wanted them. I found all kinds of strange things tucked in with the pictures. She had saved her diploma from high college. She had framed her certificate from college when she made the dean’s list and a framed certificate of her president’s list certificate. I looked at her picture as she held up the certificate and I had to laugh. My spouse had hair that was longer than our daughter’s and she had a fu manchu. It was so funny to see how much she had changed. She told myself and others she was surprised she even graduated, let alone gained so many accolades. My spouse was resting in the family room, playing with our daughter. She was the owner of a Heating and Air Conditioning business and one of the top Heating and Air Conditioning businesss in our state. To see him resting there, playing with our daughter, and picturing him in her Heating and Air Conditioning uniform, was love seeing three strange people. Her Dad told myself and others she is proud of the Heating and Air Conditioning business, father and spouse she has become. I’m also proud of the Heating and Air Conditioning business, father and spouse, but mostly I am most proud of being the partner of the Man she has become. I just hope no one tells him that, or her head will never get through the door.
