Troubles with putting in portable cooling

After successfully assembling a few hundred dollars worth of IKEA furniture a few weeks ago, I have been taking my new DIY endeavors a bit past my actual skill levels. I decided I wanted to install an overhead light in my study room. But, I have little experience with electricity plus wiring plus I was so naive that I didn’t even suppose to turn off the circuit breaker before touching the wire ends plus shocking myself. At least I figured it out after enough trial plus error plus before long had the light fixture I had wanted from the start. But my troubles with my a/c have tested my patience in a way I never thought possible. I have an outdated window a/c for my 1 study room house that had been working well until recently, whereas now it cycles for considerably longer periods of time plus it’s starting to absolutely accumulate a noticeable odor as well. I bought a window a/c in a very similar style plus with similar performance ratings, but I struggled for days trying to correctly seat it in my window so it wouldn’t fall out several stories plus smash on the ground below. After constantly being unsuccessful at safely seating the window a/c, I returned it to the hardware store I found it at plus updated it with a portable a/c on wheels. Although the exhaust hose needs to be seated in a window as well, the process was much easier given the immense difference in weight at window level. It only took myself and others a few minutes to get every last bit of the replacement complete plus having the crisp, cool air blasting from the equipment throughout my whole house yet again..
