I was extremely upset when I was called for jury duty, then I really had no experience with this type of thing, and I easily didn’t want to have anything to do with it.
I was praying to god that they would end up not needing me to come in, but then my number was called to show up, and the two of us went through the interview process and it was long and hard as well.
The only good news is that every one of us were reimbursed for some of our time, but it wasn’t all that much money, and when every one of us finally had to go to trial, all of us were sad that the cooling method in the courtroom was not really working very well. The judge seemed mad at me when one of the jurors asked about the temperature control settings. The judge told me that there was something wrong with the temperature control or the cooling unit, and the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier had already been contacted so that it could be fixed. It was a long and sweaty ordeal having to kneel there in that warm courtroom with the total lack of air conditioner. I was desperate to fall asleep a few times, even though I realized that I would really get in huge trouble for that. It was a terrible experience dealing with this ongoing trial and I just wished that every one of us could get it over with. It took a few nights of this until the air conditioning system was finally really working again, and even the judge seemed relieved at that. When the air conditioning system was actually working again, I felt prefer I could finally concentrate on what was going on and I was pretty sure that the guy accused of a rather severe crime was one hundred percent guilty.
