Usually this time of year, the ladies sort of steer clear of me as much as possible.
That’s because I’m constantly handy with a lecture on why we have control unit discipline.
I can’t get that point across enough it seems. I try to explain how I program the control unit to maximize efficiency and save money on air conditioning. Generally, this goes in one ear and right out the other one. So May is the time for entirely harping on and on about the control unit setting so they won’t go anywhere near it. I’m also constantly a bit worried about Summer because I know that I’m going to be inside some form of air conditioning a lot for the next four months. Whether it’s the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of the office or my own central air conditioner, I’m going to get plenty of cooling time. That’s strenuous for a man like me who prefers to be outdoors. But I get to spend as much time as I can outside the air conditioning for the other nine months. So I try to keep that in perspective. This year though, I’m all smiles and grins along with my rants about control unit discipline. I’m not so bummed about not getting out in the fresh air this Summer because I’m bringing the fresh air inside. I had a whole home media air cleaner installed inside the air handler of the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. So every inch of air gets hit with some extreme UV light which just obliterates any and all indoor air contaminants. I couldn’t hardly believe the difference just an afternoon made. The entire condo smells incredible and the indoor air quality is better than it’s ever been. That will add to our immune and respiratory health too.
