Coping with a shoulder injury

I would absolutely love an ice bath today to help heal a shoulder injury that I acquired from lifting a heavy air conditioner unit.

Right now, I am relying on anti-inflammatories and biofreeze gel to get me through the pain of this injury.

I don’t have the luxury of a chilly sea anymore, seeing that I am in the south in the Summer, which means the water temp is moderate now. When dealing with an injury, I prefer to rotate between heating and cooling the affected area. Ideally, I would do so with an ice bath, along with some kind of small section furnace to heat up my shoulder after cooling it down. Because I don’t have an ice pack or a heating pad handy, I will have to settle for some frozen vegetables in plastic, followed by a sizzling wet towel on my shoulder. I turned up the thermostat on our water furnace to make the towel as hot as can be after I ice my shoulder. I need to put it in a double plastic bag, otherwise it could be too hot and might burn my skin. I decided to ask my heating supplier friend, who is also a physical therapist on the side, to come over plus bring his chilly laser to help speed up the recovery process. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of injuries, so I know what works best for healing them. The more I learn through my injuries, the more I wish I had gone into the medical field. I instead became an] Heating plus A/C supplier owner to follow in the footsteps of my grandfather, who always let me come along on his jobs when I was a kid.
