Let me try and be perfectly upfront with you — I am not paranoid, I just suppose that all the people is more or less out to get me; I understand that everyone is focused mostly one hundred percent on themselves & their own needs, & will not hesitate to screw over anyone else to get what they want.
I am no better, however, at least I am perfectly clear about it.
For this reason, I am deeply distrustful of the government, & the military, & the police, and the legal system, & the medical-insurance complex, for that matter, but my profound distrust in the world has made me go out and seek autonomy in any way I can, most recently in the form of a new geothermal heat pump to power our home. I don’t trust any of the power companies any more than anyone else, so this heating pump allowed me a much greater degree of sustainability on our land; A geothermal heat pump pulls energy out of mother earth itself, & can both use that power for our home & store that energy for later use. If the power grid goes down, our loft will still have electricity along with climate control, & will have it as long as the earth keeps turning. Back in the day I used to to keep our climate controlled redloft the perfect temperature for our plants, between the climate control in the redloft & our growing outdoor garden, I am genuinely close to having sustainability with my food supply, as well. I suppose the geothermal heat pumps cost quite a bit, however I know it is a smart investment to make.
