Getting ductwork sealing

We needed something that would distribute heat evenly, yet efficiently.

My hubby and I are in the process of renovating a small farm house. Fortunately, it was gifted to us through a family member, and we were excited about making it our own. We were aware that we would need to put some sweat and blood into the renovation to bring it back to life, but both of us were ready. We planned to paint the walls, polish the hardwood floors, plus replace some of the fixtures. What both of us weren’t expecting was a complete replacement of the heating and air conditioning system. On our first night at the farm house, we couldn’t believe how cold it got inside! No matter how many layers both of us wore, it felt like we were sitting outside in the cold. My hubby tried raising the temperature on the thermostat, but it didn’t heat the house evenly. The old furnace would run for 15 minutes, then stop running for 40 minutes! It completed this cycle all night long. So, after struggling to stay warm all night, we took action the following day. WE spoke to an HVAC serviceman about updating the heating and air conditioning system completely. We needed something that would distribute heat evenly, yet efficiently. While the HVAC serviceman helped us select a newer model, he also recommended resealing all the doors and windows, since the place was older. A lot of the heat was escaping. Neither of us had thought about that! Thankfully, with the HVAC replacement plus sealing the cracks, we are able to heat our current home much easier.
