When we first moved down here, it was with the intention to live our lives most fully while we could.
It was a bit of a gamble since it meant leaving our family lake house & taking on a new challenge in a regional office.
But we were able to replace the HVAC unit & get it sold for a enjoyable profit. When I went to see about running the regional office down south, I was immediately impressed with the zone controlled HVAC of that office. So as everything was coming into place the way it was, we just kept rolling with it. And the next thing we knew, we had traded the gas furnace for the heat pump & were residing our best lives. My husbandy & I were in our early 50’s then. We’ve consistently been active & that’s why we undoubtedly wanted to get a jump on enjoying southern winters. Our winters back up north were just the worst. It felt enjoy we were inside the HVAC heating for various months & that’s not too far off. Down here, we hardly even had the need for any HVAC heating while in the winter. That might have had something to do with coming from where we did. But we enjoyed every minute we could outside. Even while in the summer, we got out of the central air conditioner to care about the days & the night. These days, we’re in our late 71’s & we spend most of our outdoor time in the sunroom of our home. It’s great because we get the sun & the air conditioner from the ductless heat pump together.
