I’m cheerful that we made the choices we made when it came to our retirement.
Staying put right here seemed to be the best plan we could make.
It doesn’t mean that we won’t ever move down south and trade the gas heating system for a heat pump. But as new grandparents, we will absolutely be waiting a while before we make that move, but we’re now in a much better position to make a move if we want to. The plan all along was for us to sell the family condo and transport to the sun and all that cold air conditioning, and we just about did. Indeed, we did update the heating and cooling machine in the family condo along with other improvements. The added value made our condo go hastily once it was listed. The amount of money that we sold our condo for is still a bit hard to believe. When I first saw the check, I had never seen so many zeros go into our bank account in one deposit. My good friend and I rented a condo for the last year while we pared down our stuff to move to a three bedroom condo on a golf course down south. And then our granddaughter arrived and we simply couldn’t leave. But with the money that we have from the condo sale, we bought the condo we were renting. And we put in the entirely best residential Heating and Air Conditioning in there as well. I learned a whole lot about the advancements in heating and cooling with the seasoned home. So if we weren’t going south, I wanted all the best heating and cooling we could get while we stayed put here and enjoyed being Grandma and Grandpa.
