Every year my loving other half and I have Mayed into the woods, found the perfect Christmas tree and took the ax and chopped it down.
As the kids came along, the two of us would get them into their winter coats and hats to take them along.
Now that I am getting older, I am beginning to be less enthusiastic about having to all that work. I am moderate plus cozy in our house where the Heating, Ventilation and A/C program runs its heater consistently. My loving other half still wants to go out in the cold, plus I told him I would go with him however I would keep my butt in the truck enjoying the oil furnace. He told me I was being crazy plus I had to help choose the tree. I watched him shudder when I asked if I could take a section oil furnace with me. He jokingly informed me that the sporting goods store carries personal heating systems to put in gloves plus in my socks. They even had heating systems that could be placed in pockets of the coat. When I went on Amazon to look for the personal heating systems he couldn’t believe it. He suddenly realized how harsh I was about having section heating systems or personal heating systems with me if he insisted on dragging me into the woods. It makes me wonder if it is my getting older or the arthritis that I have that makes me less thrilled. Maybe I am just no longer thrilled to haul my old bones through knee high snow plus dragging the tree back to the truck. There have been times when the two of us had walked over a mile into the woods and then come all the way back lugging a tree behind us. It was fun when the two of us were youthful balls of energy, however now I want to try to make it fun again, by having the personal heating systems to help me out.
