My spouse & I had walked by what was a once proud apartment nearly every evening for 10 years. She & I prefer to get out of the air conditioning & get in a walk after dinner. It’s genuinely amazing that this little routine not only helps to keep us healthy & active, it led to us getting that house. Over the years, it was clear that nobody lived in the house. There wasn’t a heat pump running & it just looked sort of rundown. The people I was with and I later l received that this house was tied up in some family legal stuff after the owner died. So when the for sale by owner sign went up, all of us were on it. The house sort of ended up as a interest for my spouse & I. The people I was with and I prefer a single of a kind designs & all of us started doing research on the house long before all of us owned it. So once it was ours & the renovations were ready to commence, all of us sort of already had a game plan in mind. The house was designed while I was in a stage where residential HVAC just didn’t exist. So originally, there was a sizable boiler in the basement with radiant heating throughout the house. When all of us got the house, there was an attempt at central air conditioning. The ductwork, but, was an not part of the original design so all of us chose to rip that out. The people I was with and I wanted to bring this place back to its original glory. But all of us also wanted to have current HVAC technology. And all of us got that with the ductless multi chop method the HVAC professionals installed as the last bit of renovations.
