I don’t think the HVAC industry is for me

Last summer when my mother suggested that I could come work at her Heating and Air Conditioning device supplier and make some money for myself, it seemed like a pretty great idea.

  • Up until this point I had not entirely considered really toiling for my father’s Heating and Air Conditioning device supplier, mostly because it just wasn’t the type of thing that I had a great deal of interest in.

I enjoyed it when my father broke it down for me and we talked about how much money I could potentially make if I did a fantastic enough task and it did not take long for me to agree to work in a part-time position. For the first couple of days toiling down at the Heating and Air Conditioning device supplier I really appreciated it. It seemed pretty much like every day I was meeting new people who seemed to be really kind. I was able to catch on to the basics rather quickly, and what I thought would be a stressful and complicated task was quite straight-forward. For a little while it seemed like toiling in the Heating and Air Conditioning business was built into my genes. Well, after a couple of weeks went by I slowly started to realize that this was indeed a stressful and difficult task at times. For instance, when I was sent out to assist a certified Heating and Air Conditioning worker on a service call, I was sent to a household that was harshly old and creepy from both the outside and the inside! Despite this I had a task to do and I ended up having to spend half my day in that creepy arena. I don’t want to sound overly dramatic, but I would rather work for 20 hours a day than have to do that. Perhaps in a year or two I will supply the Heating and Air Conditioning trade another chance. After that experience I am going to go for something else.
