I had been talking to my sister and she said she bought a service and service agreement when she bought her up-to-date air conditioning unit. She had free service and service once a year for the AC component and the furnace, for two full years. It cost less for the two-year agreement than it did for one service call. I wanted a service and service agreement, but I wanted some extras added in. One of those extras was to have an HVAC tech change the air filters every other month and to get free air filters. I talked to him and listened to him when he talked about the perks of having a service agreement. When he was done, I asked if my friend and I could tweak the agreement a little bit. He wanted to know what I had in mind. I told him I worked most afternoons because I was a doctor. I didn’t want to take my one day a week changing air filters. Since there was only me in the house, I wanted an HVAC professional to come to the home and change the air filter on the air conditioning unit. He also said he would do his best, but he wasn’t always in the area. I then wanted to know if he could supply me with the air filters. He simply said if he was changing the air filters, he would bring them with him. I also liked him and paid for the service agreement.
