I was simply going to see my mom when I asked if she would let me go upstairs to get something out of the attic.
My kid was stuck in a play and needed some aged clothing for it.
She said no one had sixties clothes at home, but she was sure her Grandma had some. I told mom I needed some of her aged clothes from the sixties. She told me to take whatever I wanted and even provided to let me have some of her chokers and other items from that era. When I got halfway up the stairs, I almost swooned. There was so much heat coming from the attic that I felt like I was going to pass out. I told her my friend and I needed ventilation in the attic. When they put the up-to-date roof on, someone had closed off the windows that allowed for airflow, and it was nearly 125 degrees up there. Mom said she thought about putting a portable air conditioning component up there, however they were so extravagant to buy and run. I asked her when she was going to supply up the home and move in with me. She told me I could move in with her. I had grown up in the house, and I actually thought about it, however my house had brand up-to-date ductless HVAC. I also hated the aged central heating, ventilation plus A/C. The cost of running it was double what I paid. It used too much fossil fuel, and it didn’t cool or heat and my ductless HVAC. Mom asked if I had room for her and all her stuff. I told her I would make room. She laughed and told me she would think about it.
