The HVAC specialist came to my home this past Wednesday. It was the annual a/c tune up that he was here to complete, but getting HVAC repair has sort of been a rite of Spring since I was a kid. I grew up inside central a/c when I was a kid. But my dad was so proud to have a central a/c as he grew up without it. I can’t imagine growing up in this region without the benefit of residential HVAC. For sure, I could get away with just a space heater during the Winter. Yet spending an entire Summer without any cooling comfort coming from the heat pump would be unmanageable for me. So like my dad, I leave all the HVAC service and repair to the HVAC professionals. However, I’ve yet to ever have to call for a repair. And honestly, I don’t ever remember the a/c having to be repaired in my dad’s home either. The reason for this is consistent, seasonal HVAC repair. When we bought this house, we had to replace the heating and cooling equipment. Since the afternoon that HVAC device was installed, we’ve made sure to supply that heat pump with heating repair in the Fall. And of course, the a/c tune up in the Spring. Not only does HVAC repair help avoid an HVAC repair, it adds so much longevity to the HVAC equipment, but I know that my heat pump is prepared for the a/c demand that is about to happen. It won’t be long now until the a/c is on more than it’s not. So having HVAC repair also helps with maximizing the efficiency of the heat pump as well.
