Installing a mini split air conditioner at our Airbnb project

When I started my Airbnb project, few people cared about HVAC equipment.

Clients would book so long as the house was comfortable.

Mine was in a place that could do without an air conditioner installation because opening a window was enough to help with indoor comfort. However, some years back, clients started filtering out where to stay based on the availability of a quality air conditioner. I was not getting clients, so I had to cave in and install cooling equipment. I hadn’t interacted with anyone from the cooling industry, but there was a cooling corporation in the local town where I hoped to purchase the right equipment and hire a reliable cooling tech. I found a cooling representative who asked about the size of the apartment and other specifics. They were all bedroomed, and it was easy to consult without visiting the house because I had clear images of the entire space. The cooling specialist took me through the equipment they had at the store, but the mini split air conditioner sounded like the best option. I was worried about air conditioning maintenance as a host, and the tech recommended that I add air conditioning repair costs to the client contract to avoid spending too much if they damaged it. I also got more tips on how to keep the energy costs manageable since there was a probability that my clients would use the a/c even when they did not need it. The tips were helpful once I started getting clients because they left it running even when the windows were open or out for their activities. I thought I was learning to be a better business manager, but all I have done is understand more about air conditioning hosting spaces.
