She advised me to ask my date questions, instead of doing the research
I’ll admit that I really don’t know all that much about men or human nature.. It’s a good thing my sister does and is willing to advise me. She saved me a big hassle when she came over the other day. I was researching HVAC technology. I had started dating an HVAC technician and I wanted to learn more about his career. We had been at a party the other night and he had met a fellow HVAC technician. They started talking shop and I was left out of the conversation. Some people might think that was rude of my date, and maybe it was, but I still felt like an idiot standing their without understanding a word they were saying. So, I decided to do a little research. At first, I didn’t even know what a furnace was! We are from a tropical area and out air conditioning and heat usually come from the same source, an HVAC unit on the side of the house. So, I expected to have to do a lot of research on HVAC technology when my sister stopped by. She thought I was being just plain silly. She advised me to ask my date questions, instead of doing the research. She reminded me that it makes men feel good to talk about and teach about something they know about and I should just take my HVAC technology questions to my date. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that. I guess it’s because I really don’t know that much about men or human nature.
