The Air Conditioning Company is Hiring And I am Looking

I quit my kids teaching job two weeks ago and it was such a relief.

I’d been teaching kids online for four years and was so burned out that it was almost impossible to continue.

At first it was great, I was super excited to be making money online and working with kids. But the energy got sapped out of me and I no longer was excited to teach and actually started to dread it every day. I taught over 6000 lessons over those four years so I think I paid my dues. I would have to turn my thermostat on 65 F each day to wake me up so I could have the energy to teach the five lessons I did each day. I found that taking a cold shower or going for a dip would wake me up each morning and keeping the office cold would keep me awake and alert enough to survive the two hour teaching ordeal. In the winters I would of course have the furnace on but I wouldn’t make it too hot or I would end up getting drowsy while teaching. I guess cold air keeps us more awake and alert just like they did in the comedy clubs I was performing at. The cooling representative told me that your body uses more energy to cool yourself down when it is hot so keeping it a bit cooler helps you conserve energy. I think if I ever teach again online it will be to adults only, I love kids but can only handle so much. So, I’m off to the AC company down the street today for an interview.
