The cozy cat rescue center has a mini split air conditioner

I moved into a new neighborhood last year, and unfortunately, the apartment I found does not allow pets, so I could not bring my cat.

I signed up to volunteer at the local cat rescue center to keep up with my cat-loving habits.

My landlady had developed the no-pet policy after dealing with air conditioner repair issues due to fur trapped within the HVAC equipment vents and ducts. She’d had enough of paying the cooling corporation for the cleaning each time a tenant complained or vacated their home, and the only solution was to keep the apartments pet-free. It made sense because she held the air conditioning maintenance responsibility and had to make it cheaper since it was a business. I had never volunteered for an animal shelter, so it took me by surprise that they had done their best to acquire help with indoor comfort for the cats. They had a quality air conditioner to ensure that the cats stayed warm and cool, which helped rehabilitate cats that had been abandoned and were untrusting of humans. The shelter manager told me that she and the team had spent time with a cooling tech learning more about air conditioning, the space, and what they needed to know about cooling for cats. There was no special air conditioner for rooms occupied by animals, but the cooling industry had some options for them. They did not want anything with a duct to avoid the mess of cleaning up, so a mini split air conditioner came highly recommended. A cooling representative handled the installation, and the place is so cozy; even my house does not feel that cozy. I met the cooling specialist during one of their servicing visits, and that’s how I made my first HVAC expert friend.
