The HVAC industry isn’t really my cup of tea

This last summer my father wanted me to come work at his Heating and Air Conditioning equipment business and make a bit of money for myself.

It honestly seemed like a reasonable idea.

Until this point I hadn’t even considered actually working for my father’s Heating and Air Conditioning business, mostly because it just wasn’t the thing that I had much interest in. I loved it when my father broke it down for me and we talked about how much money I could actually make if I did a great enough job and it didn’t take long for me to agree to work in a part-time position. For the first couple of afternoons down at the Heating and Air Conditioning business I absolutely appreciated it. It seemed pretty much like every afternoon I was meeting new people who seemed especially kind. I was able to catch on to the basics quite suddenly, and what I thought would be a stressful and complicated job was actually self-explanatory. For a while it seemed pretty much like working in Heating and Air Conditioning was good for me. Well, after a few more weeks passed by I slowly but surely started to realize that this was not such a great job. When I was sent out to assist a certified Heating and Air Conditioning professional on a repair call the two of us were sent to a property that was severely aged and creepy from both the outside and the inside! Despite this the two of us had to do the work and I ended up having to spend half my afternoon in that creepy venue. I don’t want to sound extremely dramatic, but I would rather work for 20 hours straight than have to do that! Maybe in a year or two I will provide the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment trade another chance, but after that experience I am certainly fine for now.
