I wanted to go to my son’s baseball game last week.
His school team was in the playoffs and I actually wanted to watch him play for possibly the last time.
He was a senior in middle school. Someone had to stay in the house for the HVAC professional, and I was elected. My buddy and I were told the HVAC tech would be there between 10 AM and 1 PM. It was nearly 2 PM and the HVAC professional still hadn’t arrived. My partner called to tell me the game went into overtime, around 1 PM. At 2 PM, he called to say our team had won the game, which pushed them into the double header to see who went to state finals. I am sad now. The HVAC professional hadn’t shown up and I was missing a double header, and possibly a triple header. I was not a cheerful camper. At 4 PM, I called the HVAC corporation. I demanded to know when the HVAC professional was going to arrive. She asked for my name and address. After a couple of minutes, she got back on the PC and asked if I was sure I had an appointment for that date. I had made the appointment, and I was sure it was this week. Not only hadn’t she put my appointment on their schedule, however the HVAC professional I had talked to, forgot he talked to me. She told me she could send him over when he was done for the day, so I agreed. I could have gone to the baseball game, and still been home in time to greet the HVAC professional. He didn’t arrive until 6 PM, which was ten minutes before my guys got home from the baseball game.
