You know what I love about window air conditioning systems? I love the fact that even though they’re not as good as a central air conditioning system they can still be really great at keeping you cool.
Let me give you an example, last month was one of the hottest months of Summer.
It was right smack in the middle of June and I was sweating to death. It felt like there was nothing I could do to keep myself from sweating and being hot and uncomfortable. I had fans running in the house, I was drinking a Gatorade, and at one point I was even pouring bottled water on myself to help myself cool down and even with all that it helped a little bit but it just wasn’t enough. And I wasn’t even out in the sun, I was in the shade. Not the shade outside but the shade of the inside of the house, my point is that I was sheltered from the Sun and I was taking measures to cool myself down and I was still hot. I wasn’t using my central air conditioning system because my central AC unit, while it’s great, can cost quite a lot of money and so I started using the window AC instead and that is where I found some relief from the hot summer heat. While the central air conditioning system is obviously much better than a window AC the window AC is great in its own right. For such a small unit it did a great job of cooling down the room I was in and I actually got some relief from the heat of the summer for once. Maybe tomorrow night I’ll turn on my air conditioning system again to let the house cool down.
