Training the new guy to be an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C dealer

I was put in charge of training the new employee at the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company because of my extensive comprehension in the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C field.

I was looking forward to training him and teaching him the ropes of our company. I had no idea that the following several weeks would be so full of hilarious situations with him. On his first day, I taught him how to change the air filter in a home’s air conditioner. It looked like a simple job, but as he opened the air filter compartment, dust, and dirt rained down and covered us from head to toe. He hacked and spat, I just couldn’t help but chuckle. Installation of new units and duct repairs were among the more involved chores my good friend and I tackled while in the training afternoons. He would get happy and put his hand up for a high-five and yell, “That was easy!” He had no idea what was to come. A customer called one afternoon to report an unrespected noise coming from her apartment, and we got there, and I sent the new guy up to the roof to have a look. As he climbed the ladder I took my eyes off him for one second and then a loud crash and he fell to the ground, filthy. I abruptly asked if he was ok and if he needed to go to the hospital. He laughed a little and said he was fine. I was still sad but he didn’t miss a beat after that accident. The rookie made a lot of mistakes, but he learned abruptly and became a good part of our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C team.
