We needed temporary housing for six weeks.

I was going on an interview for a school that was out of state.

I needed to be in that village for over six weeks or so, and I wanted temporary housing for that time.

I didn’t want to need to sign a long lease, but after looking around several spaces offering temporary housing, I was positive that I was going to end up going that route. The month-to-month lease I went with was for a small house. It was fully furnished, which made it much easier for me. I had thought that I might find a suite that had daily rates, in a hotel or an extended stay suites hotel, but the home was much nicer. The temporary housing I found was so nice that my fiance Max could join me. She loved the small home I got on a month-to-month lease, and asked if Max and I could stay there if I got the task at the school. I was thinking more like buying the home if I landed the task. I didn’t believe Max and I wanted to stay in a home with a month-to-month lease option. I was sure the month-to-month was something that people used so they could sell the home whenever they were ready, and I didn’t want to get bogged down in that situation. I didn’t want to get ahead of myself, either. I hadn’t completed my interview and wasn’t yet sure if I was going to get the task. Max and I loved the month-to-month lease my pal and I got for temporary housing, and knew that if or when I got the task, Max and I would have some time to look for a home.
