- My section must be a stray pet area.
There are tons of cats coming through our driveway plus hanging out on our back porch. I have honestly tried to make the section nice. I have tons of dishes with food plus water out. I set up some chairs plus scratch posts for the cats too. Some of them I can pet, others I can’t. If the pet seems interested in coming indoors I let them inside. I then get a flea collar on them, take them to the pet plus make them a family cat. I don’t want the cats to just be wild. I still have some feral 1s that will typically be outdoors. Winter time is coming plus I want most people to be warm, dry plus safe. I am looking into making an elaborate pet house. There are enough cats that I am planning on setting up a full shed just for them. I can add odd ledges so most people can sleep plus crawl around at their leisure. I also am going to add heating to the shed. I am just not sure what is the best option. Do I want to do a ductless mini cut that also can supply cooling? It would be a wall mounted device with an outdoor air compressor. Or do I want to do heated flooring that is silent in operation plus takes up no space? I am kind of leaning towards heated flooring since all the cats’ beds would. Feel overheated as a result. I do savor that the other method offers AC. My section does get hot plus it would be nice to supply the cats with a colder condition in the summertime.
