I never know what I am doing and I am constantly breaking things, this week the AC unit stopped working. I am pretty sure that it is somehow my fault that the air conditioner is dead. I talked to an HVAC technician yesterday and after I told him what was happening and what the inside of the AC unit looked like he told me it was probably an electrical issue. He told me he would come out to do a free quote but that his HVAC business was really busy. I am not someone that really needs AC so I told him that was fine, plus that gives me time to get quotes from other HVAC technicians and see what they will charge me. I know that rates for HVAC repair differ greatly based on who you find. Anyways, I think that the problem with my AC unit occured because it’s outside and it snowed a lot this past season. I didn’t take care of the HVAC system at all, and I always turn the thermostat up and down to extreme temperatures. I have had friends and HVAC technicians in the past tell me that it’s really not a good idea to put the thermostat to a crazy temperature but sometimes I forget. One thing I want to get installed while my AC unit is being installed is a smart thermostat. The coffee shop I go to has a smart thermostat and it looks so nice, I have even heard that smart thermostats pay for themselves because they save you so much money.
