Can you please help me?

She told me she knew exactly what I was saying.

After walking into a home that was hotter than it was outside, I called my local HVAC company. I told them I needed to have my air conditioning unit repaired. The woman who answered the phone told me they were short on technicians. She said if it was an emergency, I may consider calling another HVAC company and see if they had any available technicians. Calling another HVAC company didn’t get me any help. They also seemed to be short on HVAC technicians. This woman complained that no one wanted to work since the pandemic. I wasn’t so sure that was the problem. There was a part of me wondering if they were just tired from how much they were going through this time of year. I was sure I wasn’t the only one who was having AC problems. We had been suffering temperatures that were around fifteen degrees higher than normal for the last three weeks. This had to be wreaking havoc on everyone’s air conditioning units. I called one more HVAC company. After explaining my problem and how I was being held hostage in my bathroom because of my enclosed HVAC system with lights, I heard laughter. She told me she knew exactly what I was saying. It was going to take about twenty-four unless I wanted to make it an emergency. If I said it was an emergency, they could have someone at the house within two hours. She then told me about the added cost of emergency calls. Twenty-four hours versus over a week was okay with me.
