Cooling solution for our house

While finishing up my senior year at College I knew I didn’t want to live in the dorms any longer.

I entirely needed to be able to learn and that lifestyle is just not conducive to that.

I needed a space that was all my own. Looking in the paper there were locales renting out a single room to university students. Many of these locales were listed as room and board so I would have my own study room however share the study room space with the people who own the house. This was a perfect solution for myself and others and when I went to check out the 1 closest to campus it seemed like a enjoyable fit. The only complication that I could see was the fact that the room was located on the second floor of an old Victorian apartment and there was no air conditioning in that space. I asked the owner if I would be able to purchase and use a small portable cooling system to make the space more comfortable. He said they didn’t have a complication with it as long as I kicked in an extra $10 on the energy bill each month to compensate for its use. This was a unbelievable deal and I went to the store to purchase the portable unit right away. I was going to have to rely on the internet to guide myself and others because the kid who worked at the big-box store had no clue. I found a website where I could put in the dimensions of the room and it would suggest the size cooling unit I would need. The room that I am renting is only about 10 X 10 and the guidelines said that I would need no more than a 5000 BTU unit. Everything I read said that this would be satisfactory to keep a space that size cool and comfortable throughout the summer time and it would be energy-efficient.
