It was a huge Fiasco and I didn’t like coming home to a house that was cold and uncomfortable
I work for an investment company that requires me to travel abroad sometimes and give my opinion on a purchase. It’s a lot of fun usually, but the last couple of jobs have kept me out of town for more than a few days at a time. I’ve had multiple people to sit at the house, because my parents cannot go on these long trips. Last time my brother was over to watch the place, I had a problem with the heating from home. My town house is only about five years old, and that means the air conditioner is about 5 years old as well. When my brother called to tell me it wasn’t working, I thought he could not be serious. Unfortunately, he was. I gave him the number for the landlord so he could have contact them at you make the repair. The heating in addition to air conditioning system is under a warranty still, so that saved some money. Unfortunately, they could not make any of the major repairs until I came home to sign all of the paperwork. It was a huge Fiasco and I didn’t like coming home to a house that was cold and uncomfortable. In the future, I’m going to place a note in the landlord’s office that clearly says he has permission to make any absolute things that need to be done if he sees fit. I can’t come home to this cold place again. I would rather stop traveling for work instead.
