HVAC service plan was great addition to new installation

Last spring, my wife and I had to make a significant purchase for our cabin.

We knew the time was coming to replace the HVAC system, but we were hoping for another year or two.

Unfortunately, the furnace had other ideas. My wife and I waited until the spring to make the replacement, because it’s cheaper to get an HVAC crew at that time. When the system stopped working in February, the roads were still icy and slick. Most companies won’t make the drive to the mountains, until the end of March or beginning of April. If they do, they charge an outrageous service fee in addition to the regular repair rates. My wife and I waited until the spring, and we saved a lot of money by doing it that way. When we purchased the new HVAC system, the company offered us a complete service plan. My wife and I weren’t going to purchase the service plan, until we found out that the plan included emergency services all day and all night, every single day of the year. My wife even asked the technician if we would be able to get the furnace repaired during January. The technician replied with an affirmative yes, even when we explained the wintry weather conditions. My wife and I talked about the HVAC service plan, and we decided that it was worth the money to have access to a technician twenty-four hours a day and 7 days a week. I hope we don’t have to test the service plan anytime soon, but I’m feeling much better about our purchase.
