I make some impulsive decisions with the house

He went along with it in the end, mostly because of the non-refundable deposit.

When my husband and I first got together, he always said that he loved how spontaneous and in the moment I can be. However, after about a decade together, he sometimes finds my impulsive decisions to be a little too much for him. The other day, I gave my husband a call and I could tell that I caught him by surprise. I was calling him up to inform him that I had decided that it was about time for a new heating plus cooling component for the entire house. I brought up the fact that he and I had been toying around with the idea of a new HVAC system for years, and now was the best time to pull the trigger on that decision. He suggested that we talk about it when he gets home from work this evening. That’s when I told him that there was no need because I had already set an appointment with the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier in town for that same afternoon. He told me I had to be out of my mind for making a financial decision that was going to set us back 5 to $10,000 without letting him in on the conversation until the last minute. He went along with it in the end, mostly because of the non-refundable deposit. Fortunately the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier was able to do an excellent job for even less than we had been quoted. On top of that, we finally had a new heating plus cooling system. If you ask me, I’d say it turned out pretty well. And I know my husband is secretly loving the new HVAC system, despite my impulsivity.
