I was taking a stroll in the park outside my house.

When I got tired, I decided to enter a cute coffee shop near the park for some iced coffee. As I walked in, I noticed a group of local business owners having a rather expressive conversation. I chatted up the barrister as I waited for my order to be prepared. We got to talking about that particular group and the barrister explained the possible reason behind the expressive banter. Apparently, they all worked in different branches of the main cooling and heating business and the conversation was about the hiked prices of the heating and cooling equipment within the air conditioning system industry. It had so happened that their supplier had hiked the prices and not notified them beforehand. Being an air conditioning expert myself, I understood why they were agitated. Since the past year, the business had dwindled and it hasn’t been easy for most technicians as most homeowners were opting to do their air conditioning repair and HVAC installation to save costs. The barrister narrated to me how he had to hire a HVAC serviceman to carry out heating and cooling service on the commercial air conditioning system at this coffee shop and it cost him a fortune. The high prices had affected the purchase and demand for quality heating and air cooling units which eventually affected the quality help with indoor comfort they were offering to the homeowners. The customers having the intense banter all seemed to agree on the fact that the prices of a digital thermostat and electric heat pump would remain constant as these two were very popular.
