I know I should not be doing this sort of thing, but to tell you the truth, anytime I can save a buck I will. No matter what the cost! How I save money a lot when it comes to any kind of thing with my central heating and air conditioning system is that I do my own HVAC tune ups and check ups. No I am not a certified heating and air conditioning specialist and yes, I know I should not be doing this. However after watching several videos online about do it yourself heating and air conditioning tune ups I decided to give it a go and see if I could do it. And lo and behold I could and it worked out great! I did not need a certified heating and air conditioning specialist that would have charged me a few hundred bucks for about 30 minutes of work! I do not recommend anyone to just do this. You really need to be sure you know what you are doing. My suggestion is to do like I did and give it a test run after really looking at some instructional videos long enough to know that you understand everything. Then, before you do that test run be ready to call the local heating and air conditioning company for some HVAC repair work in the event you end up failing and break your central heat and a/c unit in some way. Which could happen. But I was lucky that I had the hang of the whole heating and air conditioning system tune up and check up.
