The AC unit was discrete in our hotel room

We went on a long road trip last weekend. My family and I had decided to begin our drive at noon in order to arrive in the evening after dinner. We wanted to have time to eat, cool down, get our teenagers to bed, and have a nice rest before getting to the park at opening time. The weather was sizzling and muggy, and there was a lot of heavy rain, causing traffic to slow. My family detoured for dinner and took our time at a classic roadside diner because their food was incredible and they were running their AC on high! We even had chocolate cake and cool refreshing milkshakes. We got back on the road after eating and headed for the hotel. I’d read that the hotel had recently completed an extensive remodel including current HVAC units throughout! From the look of the current hotel’s website photo gallery, the AC units were discrete. I have seen a ton of the bulky wall mounted AC units in addition to the vertical models that take up the corner of a small hotel room. I was really curious about these new AC systems in the rooms. Soon enough, when we got to the hotel, I couldn’t wait to get checked into our room. I found the AC vents in the ceiling with a touch screen control pad on the wall that lighted softly to greet me as I went to alter the temperature. The sound of our teenagers shouting over each other drifted away as they ran down the hall towards the swimming pool. In that one peaceful moment it was just me and the cool AC. I turned it on, then set it to cool, then typed 71 degrees fahrenheit. I savored a hefty fresh breath of air.
