I could not believe that the HVAC technician got mad at me.
I am sure that if the HVAC technician was in my situation, he would have done the same thing.
Technically, I did not do anything unethical while dealing with the HVAC technician. The only thing that I was doing was trying to save a few dollars. Here is how I would do things. I do not have a lot of knowledge working on HVAC units. I know how to follow instructions if someone could walk me through fixing an HVAC unit, but I would never be able to figure out what was wrong with the HVAC unit in the first place. That is why I always have the HVAC technician inspect my HVAC units twice a year. The HVAC technician inspects my HVAC units and then lists the prices that it would cost to have him fix them. Typically, the HVAC technician that works for the HVAC company that I have been hiring does not charge a lot for HVAC inspections because he assumes that people will have him fix the HVAC units. Lately, I have been trying to save money, so I have been having the HVAC technician inspect the HVAC unit. Once he writes me a list of all of the things that need to be fixed, I fix them myself. I am using the HVAC technician as a cheap diagnosing tool, and I do not think that he appreciates it. I think that he has been slowly increasing the price because he has been realizing what I am doing. I just wanted affordable prices on HVAC repairs. Is that too hard to ask?
