Well I am an open minded person always willing to try new things.
- And when it came to my heating and air conditioning system, I jumped at the chance to buy a smart thermostat.
I had heard so many good things about them and how they can save on energy use, make life easier in terms of running your central heating and air conditioning system, etc. However I have to say after using this smart thermostat for a few years I have to say I am tired of it and really do not like it. Not to mention I did not save much on my monthly energy bills. At least nothing worth mentioning or nothing life changing. This smart thermostat actually makes things more complicated in using my central heating and air conditioning system. One thing is that it makes it slow to turn off manually. If it gets too hot or too cold be prepared to suffer for an additional 3 to 5 minutes from the time you hit the off button on the thermostat. It literally will not shut off for that long! Which this is utterly ridiculous. This is one of the things I am tired of. The other being that this so call app that is supposed to control your smart thermostat from your cell phone doesn’t even work right half the time. It has trouble communicating with your smart thermostat. All in all, I am going to be ditching this thing and going back to having a nice, simple and straight forward digital thermostat like I have had for the last many years. Forget all this fancy smart thermostat stuff.
