Going to a HEPA filter made all the difference

It feels like so much of my life is just one complication after another.

There just aren’t as many easy answers out there as I would like.

It seems to me that I have to work through layers and layers of a challenge before I get anywhere near a solution. And I do this a whole lot during all those hours inside the commercial HVAC of the office. Thankfully, that commercial HVAC is great and keeps me cool while my head feels white hot. But even at home, there tends to be plenty of challenges and not as many answers. Raising kids in this day and age is replete with daily challenges that aren’t so easy to solve. Still, when I see a problem that has a ready solution, I rejoice because that means there are solvable situations out there. I ran into one lately when I decided to improve our indoor air quality. After reading an article about the link between good indoor air quality and our respiratory health, I was moved to make a change. The air purifiers were a bit out of our immediate budget but the HEPA filter wasn’t. I switched from the cheap paper air filters to the HEPA filter and actually solved the problem. While we may continue to save for the ultimate in the whole home air purification system, the indoor air quality of our home is greatly improved. The HEPA filter removes more than 99 percent of indoor air contaminants. Once I made the switch, I noticed pretty quickly just how much easier I was breathing. And that says a lot given that we just went through the annual pollen dump. The HEPA filter is a solution.
