I made cookies for the office party

I absolutely love baking, so I usually make cookies or brownies for the annual office Christmas party. This year I made four different types of cookies for the party. I made a chocolate chip cookie with macadamia nuts and pecans. I made oatmeal cookie with raisins and almonds. I made a butter cookie and a shortbread cookie with jam. All of these cookies seem to be a hit with my friends and family, so I usually make them when I go places with friends or family. I made the cookies for the office party last year and they were a super huge hit, so I made twice as many cookies this year. Everyone was full and happy after we ate the meal that was prepared for us by the local Italian restaurant. They catered the event and it was delicious. After having some of their cheesecake in my cookies, I was sitting at my desk feeling very tired. I thought about going out to my car to take a nap. I didn’t think the boss was going to miss me, but my coworker said I was going to get fired if I even tried that. I was sitting at my desk playing some Solitaire on my computer and I realized that the temperature was getting colder inside of the room. I asked my friend Karen if she thought the temperature was getting cold too. Both of us decided to go to the hallway where the thermostat is located so we could check on the indoor temperature. It was 65° inside and the furnace was running but it didn’t feel like there was any heat coming out of the vents. There was obviously a problem with the furnace and that was a huge buzz kill.
