At one point I had tried radiant heated floors to replace my central heating. After having them for a few years I decided that radiant heated floors were just not for me. The first thing was I did not like having all tile floors in my home. The second was that the heating coming from the radiant heated floors just did not give me the indoor comfort that I had when I was using central heating. When I went and bought a brand new home I did not move the radiant heated floors with me. I actually sold my old house for a higher price including half the cost of the radiant heated floors in there. Someone else may enjoy these radiant heated floors and they knew what they were getting. I was happy to have a brand new home with carpet in it and having the central heating back as well. At least I was open minded enough to try radiant heated floors. And in doing so I simply learned that they were not for me at all. But I am glad that I did try the radiant heated floors because I could tell others about my experience with them and then let them know what I experienced with the radiant heated floors. That was the good thing about this all. But I would say that getting radiant heated floors is a specific taste and it will vary from person to person if they like them or not. It all depends really on your personal preferences. Pretty much just like anything else in life.
