Just an air filter change for the HVAC can improve air quality

Prior to the spring of 2020, I really didn’t pay much consideration to my health.

And man, did it ever show.

I was fat, out of shape and in just basically poor health. My joints hurt and I couldn’t do much physical exertion. That was all the result of sitting in the air conditioning drinking beer and eating foot longs. Oh and don’t forget the bag of potato chips either. And this was a steady thing. I’m not sure if it was a subconscious death wish or not. My doctor was sort of done begging me to change my lifestyle. My wife was over it too. And the pandemic hit and it changed my perspective almost completely and overnight. It became clear to me that sitting inside the air conditioning and getting fatter wasn’t the way to go. The fact that people my age, in the shape were dying of Covid was finally the thing that got me off my butt. And that also led me to better understand my health in general. From there, I learned just how important good indoor air quality is to our overall health as well as our immune response. Plus, it was really pretty easy to make good indoor air quality a reality. All I did was upgrade the HVAC air filter. Instead of the cheap air filters I’ve used forever, I chose to go with the HEPA filter. And wow, the indoor air quality was improved in our house quite dramatically. It’s been almost 2 years now. I’m down 60 pounds, active and much, much healthier. I’m very thankful to have finally woken up to the facts of my health.
