I went to school for media arts, and I studied for three long years. I learned how to draw and paint, and I learned how to use the computer to create the most amazing artwork and drafts. During the last year of college, a group of my classmates and I were responsible for creating our own commercial. We had to perform all of the work on our own, including shooting the footage and editing all of the work. One of my classmates suggested that we make a commercial for their dad’s company. Their dad has a furnace supply company and they are pretty busy. The guy even offered to pay us a small amount of money for producing the commercial. My classmates and I spent three Saturdays in a row trying to work on the project. We spent an entire day at the furnace supply warehouse, just recording footage and taking photographs. By the time we were done with the commercial, we clocked almost 40 hours of work each. The furnace supply company was very happy with our final product, and they even decided to pay for the commercial to run on the local news station. My friends and I saw our work on television and that was very cool. My classmates and I received an A+ on the project, and everyone and the class was amazed by our work. I think my classmates and I have a future in the film industry. I don’t know if I’ll ever make it onto a movie set, but I definitely have a knack for making low budget commercials.
