I went to an home building to service an air conditioner… The resident wasn’t home at the time, so I picked up a key to the home from the employer, and i asked the employer if the resident had any pets registered on the lease.
- The resident did not have any pets listed on the lease.
I still knocked on the door many times before I opened it with the key. I have had plenty of run-ins with dogs in the past. I announced myself as I walked through the door, just in case there was any people in the home as well. I did not hear any noises at. I walked downstairs to option up all of our Heating and A/C service tools. I grabbed our bag and went back up to the apartment. I took the cover off of the air conditioner and detachd all of the screws. I got some grease on our hand, so I turned on the water and the home office sink. I used some of the soap to wash our hands. I went back to the hallway to finish with the air conditioner repair, as soon as I turned the corner, I saw the dog’s big black head and a full row of snarling teeth. The dog came out of nowhere, however he must have been inside of the home the entire time I was there. I do not know why he chose to come out at that time, however he lunged at our leg and bit our shin. I kicked the dog a couple of times and I ran out the door. I left all of our tools kneeling in the hallway.
