The town is slammed with people on the streets and baking in the sand.
I’m done with baking in the sun all day long to be brown, as my skin is bordering that of an elephant in the desert with all the sun I’ve gotten. I played beach volleyball in the Sunshine State, which is not a good combination for the skin, so now I stay out of the sun until about 5:30pm and in the middle of summer I don’t come out until about 6:30pm. I think my skin will be okay if I go then, cooling down quite a bit before this HVAC tech puts his skin in the sun each day. Today I will stay home and do my online work and maybe do some laundry and clean the house a bit. I turned on my central HVAC system’s cooling system because it was getting too hot in here for me, and my cat likes some air conditioning too. I’ll just run it for a little while to get the humidity down here and keep the windows closed in the flat so it stays out of the flat. The mini split a/c unit in my bedroom is off because the zoned cooling in the flat takes care of all rooms in the house. I’ll probably be running the air for the next three months now that I have broken the ice by turning the air on today. It is worth paying a bit extra for climate control because I am home most of the day working.
