Conference room temperature trouble

I had actually turned the thermostat down by a couple degrees prior to the meeting because it had felt warm in the conference room

I could barely stand a recent meeting at my business in the conference room. We have meetings in the conference room every Wednesday. The meetings are typically scheduled just before lunch time. I’m pretty sure that they do this to make sure that people are less apt to talk about frivolous things like people always seem to do during these meetings. Everyone has lunch on their brain and so we get done as quickly as possible. Anyway, it was absolutely freezing in that conference room the last time we had this meeting. I’m not even one of those people that is always cold all the time;; it was genuinely very cold in the room. Unfortunately, we couldn’t seem to get the thermostat to change temperature no matter how hard we tried. I had actually turned the thermostat down by a couple degrees prior to the meeting because it had felt warm in the conference room. I didn’t know that a couple of degrees would translate into blasting frigid air right in our faces! Moreover, by the time the meeting had gotten underway, it was far too cold. Before the meeting was over, I felt like I was going to freeze to my seat! We could not get the temperature to change, and I think that management is to blame. Clearly something is wrong with the HVAC system and you would think that they would have the money and the resources to take care of such things, but it would seem that’s not the case.
