I may be different from other people, but I think that a fireplace is much better than a portable space furnace when it comes to heating your kitchen while trying to save on energy use.
- I have heard all about portable space oil furnaces and I even tried it once.
And it just didn’t supply myself and others the feeling I wanted in the air quality, not sure what it was, but my fireplace that I now have gives myself and others exactly what I need! It’s an electric fireplace, not an authentic real fireplace, so I guess that what I was feeling had nothing to do with electric versus natural flames. It was just something about the portable space furnace that didn’t rest right with me, and maybe it was the fact that it got too darn tepid occasionally, or maybe it was the fact that it kind of made the air in my current home a little dry. I’m not totally sure, but all I guess is that ever since I went out and purchased this electric fireplace im happy. Not only are my electric bills lower with not having to run the central heating plan as often, but the indoor air quality seems a little better. I guess there’s just something about an electric fireplace that beats out portable space heaters. I could be wrong of course, but this is just myself and others speaking from my personal experience on the matter. If someone was to ask myself and others what was better to heat your current home and asked myself and others to choose between an electric fireplace and a portable space heater, I would for sure tell them the fireplace!
