The air vents almost caused a fire

I was a bit careless lately when I observed the air vents of my central heating and air conditioner plan had been leaking from condensation, but of course, this is occasionally normal depending on the build of your house! It did not indicate that there was any kind of issue with my central heating and air conditioner unit, and however where I was stupid was the fact that there is an air vent right above where the lamp is in my kitchen; As the air vents were dripping condensation from the use of the central air conditioner, it was making the light bulb in the lamp get wet! And it was not some waterproof light bulb! To make a long story short, eventually the light bulb sparked and began to cause a small electrical fire! I was darn lucky that I was in the kitchen at the time it happened.

I was able to get the fire out almost immediately, and after that I turned off the breaker to the power in the kitchen so I could unplug and unattach the lamp from that space.

I was lucky that I didn’t set the current home on fire and also lucky that I caught it in time to not fry the entire lamp! So all it needed was a wonderful washing and a light bulb replacement. I may not be so lucky next time; So I moved the lamp away from the air vents of the central heating and air conditioner plan so that when it drips, it will not ever drip on the lamp or light bulb directly again!
